worst night of my life!!!

Last night i was driving my 88 CRX hf, b18c motor swap type r tranny ,skunk2 cams, header with dc sports exhuast, 6 puck clutch,. And i pull up to a light next to a grandma's car with wheels [2001 lincoln continental] a young kid was driving it and he revs i look over and laugh :}. He rooled down his window and he saids wanna race and i said sure. The light turned green and we were of i spun a little not much and to my surprise he was right there at my door so i keep on it and bye 100 he crept up to were my hood was at his rear door and he kept pulling away more and more!! Im like what the HELL. He slows down and pulls over and so did i 1 thing he said thats pretty fast!!! and i said what the fu#k you have in that and he said, 4.6 DOHC 32v V8 [same as cobra motor] with,superchip mirotunner, flowmaster exhaust ,custom header, intake, larger fuel injectors & fuel pump, something done with the tranny,. How in the hell did he beat me?? I'v raced and beat mustang GTs, Z28s, G35, teg type R, 90s vette, WRX, And i get beat by a lincoln!!! That sucks big time i hate myself!!!!

I'd like to see some pics of that CRX man, sounds like a lot of power for a car that light. Very nice. I guess I'd better watch out for those Lincolns. Not too often you run into a sleeper like that, but what can ya do? Fun times...

Yeah I don't mess with kids in Lincoln's...my g/f's brother had a Lincoln in the 10's w/o juice (he put juice to it and blew the engine)...now he's got a slightly newer mark VIII that is in the 10's...they are too easy to mod and too cheap to buy/mod, to be racing against.

I'm suprised you did as well as you say you did with that list of mods he had. Sounds like you should go turbo.

Dude you probably got beat by a Mercury Marauder (Looks like a town car). They have the 2003 Mach 1 engine in them. He probably had a torque converter and full bolt ons. That would put him in the low 13's, high 12's on a very consistant basis.

damn i just looked up on what a mercury marauder looks like. Man those things are pretty sweet lookin , almost as sexy as the new cadillac sts which has like 320hp. Ain't no shame in losing to a v8.

Huh? The Continentals are FWD, and I thought the only Lincoln with the DOHC 4.6 was the Mark VIII. BTW, the Lincoln 4.6 DOHC is NOT the same as the Cobra 4.6 DOHC. The Lincoln version comes with crappier internals, and is less rev happy, but still makes 280HP none the less.

Heh. I was gonna buy a Lincoln MK8 at one time, a Black 93 LSC, DOHC 4.6...reeel nice.. only $3K....ah well..Never got it anyways....

nope it was a continental. Dam that thing was fast!!! and the sound WOW, When it hit 2 gear it barked and a puff of smoke came from his front tires i was like shit. i drove in a stock 99 continenal today and it is very powerful 1/4 mile on my friends g-tech 15.3 @91 thats not to bad, he must of been in the 13s. Ill try to post a pic
