engine management

looking to get engine management before i put my turbo in, any recomendations on what to get, its gonna have the turbo and nitrous, its a 97 hx i believe itsthe d16y5, anyone with any suggestion please help me out i dont want to waste my money on junk shit i want to get his all together the right way the first time.

yea i looked into hondata but they dont cover my vehicle i would have to do an obd1 swap on my ecu and i was tryong not to get into that, what about the aem engine manegment ive seen its like 1500 come with likea alptop type thing that i would keep right in my car. i know its alot of money and doing the swap and using hondata would be cheaper but im really trying to stay with obd2. but if someone has a convincing enough argument as to why i should do the swap and use hondata i would be willing to consider it alot more. i really want this done right. my last few cars just wernt done right the first time and i get frustrated and give up and sell them and never get a chance to finish what i stared. i really want to do this right and stick with it. also if anyone has and suggestions on other mods to do id love to hear them.

Turbo and nitrous huh? Stock block?
If you do not live in a state that reqires your car to stay the OBD rating that it came with like Cali then I would do the swap and OBDI. Actually I would do any of the B series swaps and OBDI ecu at the same time.
But at the least you should look into some pistons, and rods if you want to run any real amount of boost and N20 together. :2cents:

the question should be................why are you persistent with staying obd2? all it is, is just swapping out the obd2 ecu for a chippable obd1 ecu and a conversion harness. either way, you still will have to swap out the obd2 injector clips with aem or hondata. unless you plan on using the features of aem, i would recommend a hondata s100b if you dont plan on tuning yourself. the aem or hondata are both excellent engine management systems. look at their sites, and figure out what suits you.

if u wanna do it right the first time...build the bottom end up, at least connecting rods, and the obd1 conv. would be a little easier, plus if u have emissions...u could just swap the orig. ecu back in

i guess swapping out the ecu is where i go from here, but i want to be able to tune it myself. emmisions isnt a problem for me. i live in maine, we have state inspections but they are easy enough to get passed, especially when you know people. now hondata, how easy is it to tune, and what is involved in that, installation is probably pretty simple, but as far as the actual tuning what will i be doing.

if you plan on tuning yourself, go to hondata or the uberdata site. you have some reading to do.
