I am the owner of a 1990 Olds 88. Last week, i had to unhook my windshield washer resovoir (SP). Anyway, I fixed a crack in it, and re-bolted it to the car. After letting the adhesive sit for 3 days, I filled it up and tried to use it.
Long story short, something broke. On the bottom, on the inside, is a cluster of hoses that appear to be the main control for the resovoir. I noticed that I have a hose unhooked.
At the point that the hose would leave the resovoir, there is a 90 degree joiner of some sort. The top, points up of course, appears to be able to facillitate a hose, yet the hose that I have found, pops out everytime that I put it in there. Needless to say, this makes for an awful lot of wasted fluid.
I stopped at Advanced auto parts, and the guy tried to replace the hose into the elbow. The hose actually stayed this time, but there is nothing coming out of the resovoir.
I hear a whine when i activate the washer, so I know the pump is still working, and this time, it blew the elbow,(hose connected and all) off the resovoir.
Never in a million years, did I imagine that something this simple could be this difficult. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.
I am soon to be off on a 1500 mile trip, and this is a concern that I would like to put behind me.
many thanks,
John Kennedy

Quick update. Been outside working on this problem. I know now, that everything is in working condition. The black hose that goes into the 90 degree joiner, pops out everytime i activate the washer fluid howerver.
So, bottom line question. Is there supposed to be a clamp to hold this hose?
Thanks,
John Kennedy
