I have a h22a1 (VTEC) engine in my 4th gen lude and am looking into buying some new pistons and sleeves. I have future plans of turboing it but for now im going NA. i am getting cam gears and cams from crower and also new valve springs and titanium retainers. I dont know wat the stock compression ration is but I need to know what it needs to be in order to get the best results and performance out of my mods. any help appreciated!

Well, if you choose NA pistons (usually around 12.0:1), you can't turbo it later down the road. Much like if you chose turbo pistons (~8.0:1), you'll have little power without a turbocharger. You have to pick one or the other.

If you're getting cams, make sure they can also be used for boost. Otherwise you'll end up changing them when you do finally go turbo. Allthough I don't believe it's possible to get cams that fit both application. With NA, it's good to buy cams that have overlap. However, having overlap on a turbo application is not such a good idea. It's harder to pressurize the cylinders.
