I'd like my car to look great from the inside as well as from the outside. Problem is, I'm not remarkably creative :P. Most of my family is very artistically gifted, so anything I need done in the way of paint/dye can be done. Does anyone know of sites that have ideas of things to do? Neon would be great as well, as long as it doesn't come off tacky.

well theres lots of things you could do, first you can paint/dye the most least abundant areas in your car the color of your exterior. What i mean is like lets say you had a black car and wanted the interior to be black and white, you would dye/paint the stuff around the heafuunit black and the maind dash itself white, you would paint the ac vents black and around it white, you noe what i mean. You can also dye your seats. Add some neon tubes to the bottom of the dash, and below the steering wheel. Buy diamond plate floor mats (those steel looking mats) so that the neon has something to reflect off of. You can also add el wire to your door panels and stuff like that. First take a good look at the inside of the car while sitting in it, im sure youll get more ideas. Phew, im gonna go wash my hands, my fingers are bleading from typing lol

Anything squishy and padded, like the dashpad, door panels, etc are vinyl. Anything hard like the console, radio trim, etc are plastic. Both of these substrates can by dyed with the same stuff. Put in a call to www.justdashes.com (http://www.justdashes.com) and get their "fade away" kit for $129, plus a can of adhesion promoter for another $15. You can specify a color or send them a sample to match. The kit includes everything; cleaner, scotch brite pads, breather mask, chemicals, sprayers, etc. Nice kit. You'll have to disassemble the pieces and it will take time, but it does a NICE job.
You can also get great plastic and vinyl dye from SEM, www.sem.ws (http://www.sem.ws)
Its also dependent on the look you're going for. Classy? Sporty? Luxury?
Another good way to update the look is to choose a different color carpet.

I'm trying to find a good sporty style without making it look too extreme. I plan on adding some neon lighting under the dash and some under the back seats to illuminate the floor. Maybe try stringing some EL wire through to accent the shifter and dash.
I've been trying to find some good galleries of interiors, are there any online that are specifically interiors or would I be better off searching through to find the interiors?

www.carstereo.com has some cool custom cars. you might get some ideas there. You can also look into upholstry and aftermarket addons. You can find all kinds of stuff to make your car look spiffy on the inside at autoparts stores. Video setups always look cool too.

My interior started gray, now is a cool blue green (emerald) Has no odor, and dries permanant and soft.
Some of their deals, i painted the interior of my car Emerald took 10 cans.: http://www.fabricspraypaint.com/Default.asp?Folder=149&Name=Super_Fabric_Paint_Deals
The general info page- has some good info: http://www.fabricspraypaint.com/Simply_Spray_Fabric_Paint.asp?Category=16&Name=Fabric_Spray_Paint
When you order, you can through the site, but for bigger prokjects if you call them, not sure of their number they can get you a deal.

I just bought some neon foot pedals for my car, and I got them on to the pedals and everything, but I have no idea how to hook the wires up. The wires go to an on/off switch and then from there, there is an open wire that is supposed to go to a hot +12V source, and a wire that's supposed to go to ground. I have absolutely no idea where to go with these wires. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do, or what other forum I could look on to find out? I don't really know much about cars so I'm quite confused.

you do nothing, u let the car go on its own just cruise down a mountain with no brakes and steering wheel at 60 miles an hour and the car will suddently lift from the ground drift into the sky to neverland and everyone is happy. now wth do u think go to a local mechanic dumbass!

HAHA, funny ur right clue, and just to add, CRYBOY, that was just stupid, ya hes gonna run his car off the mountain, your comment had absolutely everything to do with nothing. Anyways clue you should take the ground and basically apply it to any metal surface on the car that is grounded, take the carpet liner from underneath the pedals off and run the wire there or sumthing, and u can run the positive wire to the 12 volt straight to the battery or take it to the cigarrete lighter wire.
