DEI Alarms?

I'm probably going to get a new alarm and the solenoids for the rear doors. Has anyone heard anything good or bad about DEI. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks:)

I haven't really heard anything bad about DEI. Back in '95 at least, that's what Honda (at least the local dealership) fitted all the cars on the lot with, was a DEI system. For those that don't already know, DEI bought out Clifford last year, so that might be something to think about... Clifford also has very excellent alarms too, that's what I have on my car right now.

Hey DEI alarms are very good. I have one and know a lot of other people with them too. Also they warranty $3,000 worth of stuff inside your car too :D Never had a problem with mine(other than the power lock issue, but I'm 99% positive that was CC, and not DEI), or hearing of anyone having a problem.

CivicLx why are you getting the solenoids for the rear door. Reason I'm asking is my car is going into the shop tomorrow and I'm having the rear door handles shaved.

I don't know cause I'm had the doors welded shut:confused: LOL...just joking. Well it's my birthday coming up and I need a new alarm, so my mom said she would buy it for me and she wants me to get the solenoids also. I'll probably have it done down in LA. I mean you don't need them since it's a 4 dr, but it will be more convenient.
Thanks for the input guys.

If your car is daily driven, I would highly suggest getting the rears solinoid. Say if you do have friends that want a ride, you don't want to have to move around in your front seats too much to get to the rear door handle inside. And if you really need the space(if trunk is filled) you can easily put stuff back there for the time being... I would get them soleniods...

LOL give me credit, I do know what there used for. Just wasn't sure if I really need them. I'm gonna be getting a clifford alarm next month so I might get them installed as well.

LOL...naw I wasn't making fun of you. I was just joking cause if I had them welded shut, then I wouldn't need them. But I'm definitely gonna get the poppers.
