I've been checking out the forums here off on on for a while now, and this is the first time I haven't been able to get the answers I wanted without even asking a question. So I finally joined. You guys are great!
I think I went about things backward - I've already posted my question about my Corolla, but I still wanted to introduce myself.
I'm not huge car enthusiast, a great tinkerer or even that mechanic minded, but I like my car to sound and ride good and I have enough commom sense to to know how things work and fix easy things myself time permitting.
Finances keep me in my Corolla and Nissan truck, but I have plenty of fond memories of the '67 Ford LTD I used to drive (like a smooth sailing boat on the open water - on good days, when I wasn't scouring the country for parts) and the '79 Porsche 928 my husband had when we started dated (glided on air, sweetly hugging every turn - on good days, when I wasn't scouring the country for parts). One of these days ... when the kids are in college ... no RV for me, just a nice classic ride or two that makes me feel like a conquering hero when I drive it ...
But, my Corolla's not making me feel like that right now. :(
We've both seen better days.
And all of you who regualarly post, I'm happiest to just be a lurker most of the time, but seriously, thanks for being there. You've helped me with lots of stuff in the past and you didn't even know it.

Hi Jen, good to see you as a new member. Feel free to "lurk" at your leisure, and join in when you can.
