Worth it?

I found a 92 coupe SE near me for sale for 1000. The inside and motor are in good shape. However the outside is pretty beat. It was side swapped and has minor hits all over pretty much. I checked the car over pretty well and nothing seems to be wrong structurally. Even the wheel wells are fine. Its just the body that’s jacked up. It was a replaced transmission. Also the kid offered me a S14 KA motor from the car he just bought because he is swapping a V8 into that one. Is it worth it?

As long as there's no rust, anything else can be fixed.

Eh, I'n not a big fan of body work. I would rather have a straight body, but a blown engine. I would at least try to talk him down considerably.

Yeah, body work is the one thing I'd have someone else do.

How much could i sell that KA for you think?

200-300 bucks maybe...if your lucky...there are so many ka running around its hard to get a decent price for one...i mean look at all the vehicles that have ka motors...

about 800 if it has decent milage.. look at it this why you can get a sr20det for about 1500 now so why would they want a na ka24de?... i say take it and do the body work, tons of aftermarket body pannels, just make sure no rust..

u should get it and do the body work or get someone else to do it if i were u id buy it . ill but that ka off of u. i would like to have a ka to build up r u getting the s14 egine w/ tranny also or just the engine either way i want it

it really depends on condition and mileage...

but cheapest would be about $1500... and maybe up to 4 or 5 depending on where you are located.

i know for a fact in hawaii my 93 s13 FB would sell for $7k.

kA's are cheap give you fifty bucks final offer...
you can prolly get about 300 engine 150 trans.

I got my s13 for $450 with a parking lot side impact rear quarter damage ONLY. but the engine pinged real bad no biggy in the long process of an rb swap now. Check auto trader. and after market body panels do a wide body kit and gank some doors off of a front impact 240 in a yard. show up with 500 cash offer (show him if you feel safe $20's make a good waud) if he says no walk away. no loss you can always offer 1000 again.

Yea Ill try that. I already talked him down from 1500 so I dont know how much lower he will go. The doors on the car are fine its just the rear quarter panels... well really only one thats bad. The other he pulled out and just needs some bondo to make it smooth. I talked to him yesterday and he dosnt have the S14 motor anymore but does have a 89 KA but I wont even bother with that. Im going to test drive it this week and if everything goes well I'll probably pick it up. It sounds like even with the body damage 92 coupes are hard to come by for this price.

I was thinking it had damage to nearly all the the car. maybe I miss read. If it is only 2 quarter and it runs well I would say go for it. doing body work is fun :)

the body has dings and crap all over but only 2 quarters that have any real damage
