have heard differnt thoughts on flushing tranny vs just changing fluid and filter. some say if there is alot of miles and never been flushed. you could create problems by flushing. Has anybody had any experience with this, what are some thoughts...
Did all years of the 5.9 have sludge problems. I have a 2000 with 90000+. dont know any history at all. should i be worried? Would just switching to synthetic help? Ive heard that switching from synthetic to regular or from regular to synthetic could cause problems with seals or gaskets leaking. any body with experience with switching. Will synthetic clean
up the sludge or just not accumulate any more? thanks.

There is an oil additive called auto-rx that is supposed to work well for cleaning out engine sludge. Check out www.bobistheoilguy.com. for more info. As for the tranny I wouldn't do a flush. Make sure you use the ATF fluid that Chrysler recommends. Very important.
