94 Park Avenue wont start

My Grandpa's 94 PA wont start. It hasnt worked since late Decmber, and I think it might be a problem in the ignition. I havent looked at it yet so I cant tell you much more than that. Does anyone know about this sort of thing? Is there somthing I can do as to not bring it into the dealership? I dont know the symptoms, so all suggestions are appericiated.

you should describe a bit more what the car does or doesn't do while attempting to start, if not the list of things to check is long...

Well, I still dont know what it is, so if anyone can list a few possible causes of this, I may be able to narrow it down.

3 things a engine needs to run:

Fuel
Spark
Compression

One is missing, figure out which one it is then go from there.
