Blown sub.

Okay, I discovered a problem I have today. I thought I heard one of my subs blow last week but didnt check it till tonight. Yep its gone. The other one still thumps but this one is dead.
My dillema is I dont know what to do. I've had the subs since 2001 I believe. They are Rockford HE's which are obviously long gone. What I need help on is which speaker new RF would be the closest to it. I'm gonna have to recheck the speaker but I believe its 8-ohm. When I bought them i got a slight hook up b/c I knew the manager and i believe paid around 100 bucks. Just need a little guideance here. Thanks.
Also if i just took that speaker out of the box compelete, would it be fine with the other speaker in there? Its a downfiring box to fit under the seat of 99 ext. cab silverado.

why not replace bothi with something better?
