Can someone please tell me approximately how much does it cost to do Timing Belt on a 6 Cylinders 03165 W 3.2L MFI DOHC? I am getting prices from $ 350 - $ 420. Please reply.

Sounds about right for price. Price goes up if you want to replace the idler, tensioner, tensioner hydaulic pusher and water pump along with the timing belt (which you should). How many miles on your 2000? I peronally would wait until:
1) you hit 125,000+ miles or 7yrs (there abouts)
2) your water pump starts to weep coolant.
3) your timing belt tensioner gets weak.

Just my opinion!

Yup, I would wait untill you are over 100k

Do it once, swap it out (what joel mentioned), and by the time you get to 200k I would think it is time for an upgrade.

I had mine priced by someone I know and trust and for everything, tensioner, water pump, and belts(t and serp) ot was going to cost around $750. So it sounds to me it is pretty reasonable.

You need a new timing belt, tensioner, (I'd recommend) the idler pulley, water pump, and gasket maker for the new water pump.

If you use an impact wrench to get the crankshaft pulley off, you're probably going to have to take the radiator out....I know I did when I did mine.

The biggest problems in doing this job are getting the crankshaft pulley off and keeping the timing marks in place while putting on the new belt. If you can get around those two things, the rest of the job is easy.
