is there a trick to getting that front main oil seal to stay sealed? i have pulled the pan twice after lifting the engine, put a new gasket and sealer, and within a few minutes its leaking again. im about to spend the 500 bucks getting it done profressionally, but before i did that i wanted to know if i was missing something?

When I did mine I used some RTV gasket maker around the pan and timing chain cover. I then let it sit for 24 hours. Then filled with oil and no leaks but depending on how hard your timing chain cover and oil pan were to get off you might have bent something. I would try to locate the spot its leaking from and see if you can spot any damage. Good Luck.
