grab all that shift linkage shit and the pedal tree man, it will fit. As for the harness, what model was the crx? also what engine is going to be in your hatch?

It should all work. The only difference that i can think of is that the 88's didn't have a clutch relay like the 89-91's did meaning you can start the car without depressing your clutch...
I'm not too sure if this would be a snag at all because your car is an 88...but i doubt it.
I'd say to get it.
As for the harness, yes get it. if your car is a dx model, meaning it is only dpfi, you will need to get another dx harness and get an si harness to source the plugs from to modify your dx harness for a swap. Unless you were going to convert to obd1 or newer.
Also, trust me on this one, you will need to get another 88 civic/crx engine wiring harness if your car is an 88. The 89-91 harnesses are slightly different. They have the same wires, just they are pinned in different locations at the firewall.
This will be evident if you hold up a 89-91 civic/crx harness to your 88 harness....It will have the same wires and colors, but some of the wires are pinned in different locations which you can see. This is not a big deal if you know how to depin and repin those wires. (i had to do this on my 88 dx hatch using a 91 dx hatch harness).

yep, it's just another one of those things about the 88's. The 88 is different than the 89-91's in so many ways like the rear lcas, front uca's, wiring, different ecus, doors, door panels, window lengths (the 89-91 are 2 inches shorter), seat rails, and that's just to name a few...the list keeps going on and on!
the 89's are similar in a few ways, but they are much closer to the 90-91's than the 88 (minus exterior differences).

and thats one of the reasons i love my 88. the seat rails are so much easier to mount aftermarket seats, the seatbelts are on the b pillar which makes for a cleaner installation of a harness bar for my aftermarket seats. and then that excellent rear lower control arm setup....
damn, i lucked out getting this car.
