Holy shit.
It's 3:45am and I just got back from one of the best nights ever.
Went to check out a band called Fat Freddy's Drop, a soul/funk/dub/reggae outfit from my (adopted) home town of Wellington. The outfit that played before them was Sunshine Soundsystem.
Holy shit on a flying squirrel did these guys go off. They cranked all sorts of beats and remixes for about 2 hours, I was so cut I was seeing double, and me and one of my mates from uni just buzzed out and danced the whole time. Everyone is in such a good mood...a few people spark up a 420 here and there, but it's all good, we just keep chilling and dancing, no pushing for space or anything, just good vibes through and through. Fucking LOVE it.
Oh, and FFD fucking blew us away, sooooooooooooooo good. In the words of my mate "intensified kentucky, holy fuck that rocked".
Downside is I got the message that the girl I'm interested in doesn't feel the same way, but HEY, who cares?
