heel/toe shifting

i was in teh drivin style n technique forum earlier and i was readin a thread on heel toe shiftin......some of the ppl in there were sayin that they use thier left foot on teh brake and clutch and use thier right foot just for gas....is it me or is that about impossible..i have never seen or heard of any1 doin it like that b4...ive always used my right for brake/gas and left on clutch...am i right or wrong?

heel/toe shifting is real popular in autocross and road racing, its actually quite effective in getting the most out of what power you have, however it is also very tricky and requires much practice

Heel and toeing actually is the use of the right foot to depress both the brake and the throttle at the same time while the left foot operates the clutch. The idea it to keep the throttle down some to keep the revs up so that as the clutch is let in the RPMs are already up and there is no lag with the need to gain engine speed again.

This is really only pertinent to professional road racing.

yes yes, very tricky to learn indeed, and you really havto know your car..
But as mentioned, it only really applies to cornering in professional racing..
