ho w hard would it be to put a turbo on a 1994 eclipse gs????????

dohc 16valve 2.0L engine
currently runnin with 140 HP (i know and for all you smartasses (not tryin to offend people) its not alot but i just got the car a year ago!!!

umm isnt that a 1g? doesnt he have the 4g63 nt motor? if thats the case you just gotta bolt on all the stuff from a 1g gst and your in business. You wouldn't be able to run as high of boost though on the n/t motor.

Yeah I have a Eclipse 96 Gs and I wanna put a not so powerful turbo on it. Can it be done without swapin engines ?

he already has a 4g63...it is a 1g car. the turbo engine is a 4g63T.
I would say just get a new engine. It will have lower miles and all be set up for the turbo (obviously, it is a turbo engine). You can find one for pretty cheap as well, probably as cheap as the other parts.
there is more to it than just slapping on parts, you have to worry about your ECU, the compression, blah blah. It is easier if you get the turbo motor, in my opinion.

i had the same engine you had 140hp now i have a jdm na 180hp not bad for start with no turbo

Look at the top of the board. There is a thread labeled FOR EVERYBODY INTERESTED IN TURBOING AN RS OR GS READ THIS.
