Ok I have been posting questions about starting mods on my 95 stang gt 5spd. I have had lots of response's but i cam across this http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=387876&prmenbr=361

it looks like a pretty sweet deal but I want advice.

someone told me a good setup would be
Aluminum Heads(GT40's usually go for $700)
K&N Filter. (Buy it new, maybe $60-$70?)
Shorty Headers(Buy used ones $150)
Roller Rockers($150)
24lbs Injectors and Calibrated MAF (Or EEC Tuner/Tweecer)($300 with MAF, $600 with EEC Tuner/Tweecer)
UD Pulleys ($50)
Hi Flowing Fuel Pump and Regulator($150?)
180 degree Thermostat($20?)
Cat Back Exhaust (Flowmaster? Dynaflow?)($400)
3.55 Gears(Buy New $100)

I priced it out and it came to well over 2k. it would increase the HP by about 100. my current stock engine has 140k miles on it and 230hp. Would it be more worthwhile to buy the ford racing this engine? or would i be better off to by a $4000 turbo or supercharge kit?

any help appriciated

Aluminum Heads(GT40's usually go for $700) Junk, much better out there for a few hundred more.
K&N Filter. (Buy it new, maybe $60-$70?)
Shorty Headers(Buy used ones $150) Or brand new for under $200, but I'd go long tubes for a little more.
Roller Rockers($150) 1.6 ration FMS $240
24lbs Injectors and Calibrated MAF (Or EEC Tuner/Tweecer)($300 with MAF, $600 with EEC Tuner/Tweecer) 24# injectors $200, matching MAF $150-$200
UD Pulleys ($50) Closer to $80
Hi Flowing Fuel Pump and Regulator($150?) 155lph drop in $80, regulator with gauge $100
180 degree Thermostat($20?) Stick with a stock 192*
Cat Back Exhaust (Flowmaster? Dynaflow?)($400) Dynomax Ultra flows are nice, so are MAC. I can't stand Flows.
3.55 Gears(Buy New $100) Plus install kit and installation, total could be $300-$600, depending on shop.

Seems like your on the right track, but I think you need to plan out your combo a little better before you decide what you want to do. You also mentioned nothing about a throttle body, cam or h-pipe(either highflow catted or off road). A well planned out head/cam/intake combo with the other little bolt ons should have no problem at reaching 350BHP.

Now I would stay away from a Jeg's motor, look into something like CHP or DSS, they have better combo's for around the same price.

If your going to spend $700 to $800 on GT40's which are out dated, then what's another $300 for quality?

Hi-Flow speaks the truth. I have gt-40 heads, and I wish my engine was built with something else. It will bottleneck big time. Save up a little longer and get a head that you can grow with.

 I know I have not been around in a while and some of the new guys don't know who I am, but I'm glad I still got some backing on these issues.
