I'm sure this has been addressed many times on the forum but I ned to put brake pads on my 2001 sable, is there anything I need to know about the abs before I start this job. I've never worked on a car with abs before.

Not particularly. I haven't done brakes on my Taurus but the only difference you could see at the wheels between ABS brakes and non-ABS brakes is that the ABS ones may have wheel speed sensors at 2 or all 4 wheels. It shouldn't make your job particularly tougher.

I installed new front pads and rotors on my 2001 SES with ABS. I didnt have to do anything different at all. Same as always. The brakes on this car are really easy to change.
