Floor mat recall

I found out there is a floor mat recall so go to your dealer and they will give you new ones!!!! :) :) :) that is if you guy noticed the mats stick to your pedals!!

Is there a specific model this is for?

2002 nissan sentra SE-R and SE-R Spec V

I recieved mine about four days ago. There's nothing wrong that I have noticed with my floormats. I will probably bring mine in anyway just to see what they are going to say.

I got a Nissan recall notice in the mail and I'm getting my replacements on April 6.

If you go to nissan driven.com it will tell you exactly which vin numbers the recall pertains to, not all se-r and spec-v cars are included, mine is not. here is what the nissan site says...

2002 Sentra SE-R Front Floor Mat Replacement

Applies to 2002 Sentra (B15) SE-R ONLY (all models of SE-R), the following Vehicle Identification Number Range:
3N1AB51**2L700019 to 708726
3N1AB51**2L725046 to 727746

The number of vehicles potentially affected is approximately 9,700.

Reason for Recall
Your vehicle may be equipped with Nissan approved accessory floor mats. If the driver side floor mat moves out of position, it may interfere with the accelerator pedal and not allow the pedal to release after it is pushed down. If this occurs unexpectedly, it could lead to a crash.

What Nissan Will Do
In order to prevent this incident from occurring, your Nissan dealer will inspect the driver side floor mat installed in your vehicle. If it is a Nissan floor mat subject to this recall, the dealer will replace both the driver and passenger side front floor mats. The new driver side floor mat has a different shape. This free service should take about thirty minutes to complete, but your Nissan dealer may require your vehicle for a longer period of time based upon their work schedule. Please note that since floor mats are optional equipment, vehicles not equipped with floor mats or vehicles equipped with non-genuine Nissan floor mats are not subject to this recall.

What You Should Do
As a precaution until you have had your vehicle inspected, you should remove the driver side floor mat. Contact your Nissan dealer at your earliest convenience in order to arrange an appointment to have your vehicle repaired. Please bring this notice with you when you keep your service appointment. You must also bring the driver side floor mat so it can be inspected. Instructions have been sent to your Nissan dealer.
