95 neon problems

i have a 95 neon manual. Everytime I shift into 2nd gear it grinds and it happens only in 2nd gear. Everyone I talked to said it sounds like a synchroid(sorry if not spelled right) but I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and if they got it fixed and how much it would cost...Do you think it would be cheaper just to get a new transmission cuz i heard the labor would be a lot. Also does anyone know how much a camsensor is...engine lights on and thats what the code read..thanx allison
