2002 Impreza 2.5RS Questions

Hi, i'm looking into buying a few cars (first car), one being a 2.5rs. Wanted to ask for some feedback from you suby owners. It looks like a pretty nice deal. I'm hoping the car is in good condition as i am going to look at it this saturday. Now for the questions.

Generally,(mileage wise) how long will a 2.5rs last? (vague, i know, sry)
What should I look for when going to visit this car? (any general problems, defects, etc.)
I was thinking about dropping an STi engine in it, but if I dont do that, what do most people start modding on? (prices would help)

Price-wise, the link i posted above, does it look like a good deal?

I put 90,000 miles on my previous RS before I sold it, never gave me a days hassle (vague I know, sry).

Look for excessive piston slop(low knocking noise when engine is cold), check the body work over for dings, signs of bodywork, etc.

If you're only going to pull the engine, why worry about it?

Price seems cheap....makes me suspicious.

Yeah, it's cheap.. that's why im asking for advice. I live in montgomery county, MD. I'm about 20-30 minutes from this person.. and btw, I was asking, what could i do to it, if I DIDNT drop an STi engine in it. I want to keep my options open.
Anyone else feel free to add some imput, would be appreciated.

One thing I did notice, the person claims it's never been driven in snow?
If that's the case it's been standing since early December?

As for mods to a 2.5RS, check out the FAQ as well as reading down the threads, or better yet, visit nasioc.com :)

It's pretty, at least. If you do end up getting it, some non-RE92 tires and a cat-back exhaust would be the first two mods I'd reccommend.
