B&M shifter

I am a new Mazda owner and I love my 1997 626. I am looking into replacing the shifter (its a 5spd) and B&M wont give me a direct answer about compatibility with their shifter that was made for the MX-3 and Probe. Has anyone used this shifter? Oh and another thing, what kind of wiring harnesses are needed to hook up an aftermarket CD deck. The ones at auto parts stores and such will not work. I get no power. Any suggestions?
