11s...about to be OWNED!!!!

Well, guys...I bit the bullet and got my nitrous parts coming in next week. Here's a list of what I'm going to be using.

Base NX Wet nitrous kit 50-75-100-150hp adjustable kit with 10lb bottle

Zex automatic bottle heater with dual thermostats that turn on and off to keep the perfect temp for optimum pressure

NX nitrous pressure gauge

NX nitrous purge kit

MSD RPM activated window switch with a 3000 pill kit and a 6000 pill kit

To keep from going lean, I will also be ordering a fuel pressure safety switch as well as a fuel pressure gauge. I'm not planning on using it alot, maybe just 1 or 2 runs when I go to the track, or when I have a race on the street I'm not to sure about. :biggrin:

I didn't want to spray out of the hole, since I'm getting pretty decent 60ft times without it. I'm going to make this the safest kit possible, so that's why I'm going with the window switch and the fuel pressure safety switch. I'm ready to taste those 11s!!!

That's awesome bro, it'll be nice to have another truck in the 11sec club :) It shouldn't take much juice to get you into the 11's, I think you can do it on a 75 shot, but I really want to see your times on a 100 or a 150 if you're feeling really brave (I know our 5.9's can handle it with the proper plugs and pulling a lil timing). If your tranny/rear/tire combo can handle it, spraying out of the hole should net you some sick 60's. Definitely let us know how it goes, and get it on video if you can :iceslolan

I can barely hold off a Z06 below 90mph. I know for a fact one would put the hurt on me from about 95mph and up.

Mr. Slowprocess, while your installing your nitrous kit look into a water/alky injection kit to use along with the spray. You'll love it. You won't have to retard your ignation and run alot cooler. It enhances your spray.

i doubt he would murder one.... 500hp in 5000lbs... thoes things are the fastest production trucks made... i think they made a few hot laps on a 4 mile oval track at like an average 154mph.... nothing to play around with. and im talking about without nitros....

He already runs a faster 1/4 then them without the spray.

And i doubt the average speed is 154.
If i remember correctly that's also their TOP speed.

He's going to be closer to a viper srt-10 pretty damn soon.

Hopefully I can enter my truck in the 11 second category soon as well.. Turbo is still being modified and tested.. Some good Dyno's but nowhere near complete.
290 ft. lbs with 338 hp @ 4000 rpm's on one run...
best run so far.. 329.72 horsepower and 350.75 lb ft... This just with 6-7 lbs of boost.. this is EARLY testing too.. should be near 400 hp

Not tryin to be an ass, just clarifying it. And he still runs a faster quarter, the Srt-10 is good for a mid 13 i beleive, and he's already running highish 12's Viper srt-10's are somewhere in the mid 11's I think, so that might be a match for him.
Remember, same engine nearly 2000lbs weight difference, the pickup isn't even close to a match.

Lets not forget the lack of weight over the rear tires on the SRT-10 Ram, 0-60 in 5.2...

Seems to me they'd be hard to get a good launch with.

I have an I-5 in my truck. The only real way to run anything resembling 11's would be an engine swap or to go forced induction.

11's are still 11's at the end of the day.. Whether you spanked your grandma or put on a turbo to do so. :)

(Anyone can have an LS1 and make it go fast. There are 1987302 F-Bodies for every Chevrolet Colorado that will run 11 seconds.) :evillol:

And that isn't true. Getting an LS1 in the 10's/11's all motor is a task. Although it is true, there are many more of them than there are Colorado's. Congrats!!! No matter what you used to get there, it obviously works!

I don't think dodge sees the new coupe as a z06 fighter. The current C6 already comes extremely close to the srt/10 on the track. The looks of the the new coupe (which personally love) are whats going to sell the car. Atleast the viper held on to the fastest production american supercar title for a while, unless im forgetting some american car? made from 1992 up to when the ford gt came out.

Last I read, the Lightning has been shelved until at least '08.

Gotta agree that unless Dodge ups the hp on the Coupe, the new Z06 is gonna kill it (same hp/weight ratio as a Ford GT or Mercedes SLR). I think Dodge will up the ante tho, once the Z06 hits the streets, they're gonna have to if they want to keep up. Besides, they increased the hp when the first GTS came out, and then when the SRT vert was released, so it would make sense that the new coupe should get more power! :) At least, that's what I hope they do! :iceslolan

The Viper doesn't really need to compete with the corvette, People will buy them regardless, just for the fact that they're a "cooler" car. Debateable yes. but personally I'd rather have a Viper, especially the new one LOVE the styling, can't say the same for the vette.

i like vets... sure the viper has that euro exotic look to it but the vett is still a sexy car. for the price...i will go with the Z06 once it hits the streets....only problem is im not even old enough to have a car title in my name...how the hell am i sapposed to get insurance? led alone the cash to even buy the car....
