Hi All,
I have a BMW 540i 1996 model (tiptronic) with 150,000 miles on the clock. It runs very well and is in great order except depsite changing the gaskets on both rocker boxes and checking the breathers for any blockages, which could raise the oil pressure. The right hand box (alternator side) is still leaking.
Has anyone had such a problem / is it possible for the box to distort?
Very grateful for any suggestiones. Many thanks.
Best
Gideon :-)

I suppose you mean the valve cover gaskets? Only way to possibly fix that is to get a new gasket relaced on it.
Or if you wana be a redneck about it get black clyaclone and put it all over the gasket where its leaking from. Ofcourse I dont reccomend this at all, but it possibly might fix it for 10$. Becides thats the stupidest thing you can do to try and fix it.
