im a 17 year old kid whoe's about to buy a car with my own earned money. couple of question though, how old do you have to be to sign the title? would you suggest have a brother/parents sign it? what about insurance?

depends what model of car, where you live, etc etc...a 4 door will usually have much cheaper insurance than a 2 door, they see anything Coupe and its automatically classed as "sporty"...

I would get it so you are the only signer if you can afford to pay it in full without a loan, etc. Make it your own!

If you're under 18 and live w/ your parents, they have to cosign unless you're paying it all up front. I'm 18 and bought my own car, but i still had my parents sign just in case. I would recommend a Civic EX coupe, personally. I have one and i love it, but i still want the WRX i passed up. It was $3000 more than my civic and i couldn't justify that at the time and i wish i would've bought it instead.

What are you looking at buying?
