well, add all the cost of materials up, then mark it up by the profit you want, EG: $10 of materials, sell for $15.
looks like a really good product, it looks well made.
where do you get the plastic board to put the LEDs on?

Well, you can put up a website and sell from there. There's a lot of set up involved to do it that way, though.

E-Bay, is a common way to sell products.
if you're serious about this becoming a business, have a look into patents, and copyrights.

They are excellent! Think you might be onto a winner with that one, the potential to sell them to collectors, model makers, exhibitors and for shop displays must be very good. You should persue it.
If I were to make a couple of suggestions then I think ideally you would need to package them with the display cases. Also, IMO, the power lead coming out from the side looks a little unsightly. Perhaps a redesign so the lead goes down the rear would be better???

Very nice collection
There are lots of models there I'd like to see detailed pics of. Especially, the wide body Porsche, GT3, Golf III, Carrera GT's .... I want to see all of them. Have you already done individual threads?
I agree with FOTW , your idea is great, you could do business with.

Nice builds you have there. The display cases are cool, too. If you can run the power cord out the back, it would look better.

I couldn't agree more with that whole sentiment, and I was thinking the same thing about the power cord. Those lights are magnificent otherwise, and that's something I'd actually buy a couple of.

I think if the cord ran out of one of the rear corners that'd be good too. Then you could just tape it to the corner and never realize it's there.

Hey Jelly, just a few more questions. Any details of LED's you use? Size, amperage/wattage, color, etc? They look a little blue-ish, but that might be the photos. Also did you do any fancy with the wiring?

Very Very VERY creative dude. NICE. Hey, question, About your S-Class, what rims are on that, and who makes that S-class, is it maisto? Also, I love what you did with the CLS. did you print that from the internet using photo paper? or what did you do to get such great quality, and how much did the pieces of glass cost?

also malsheem, to me, they look like your average 5mm LED lamp. 5mm is the most popular, and most common size. the bluish effect is from the LED itself. They may say white on the box,but they always illuminate with that bluish tint, like bi-xenon headlights. It's one of the reason why I used them on my S-CLass , because they give the bi-xenon look on them.

Hello, sorry for the late reply!
1) It is a 5mm white color LED and 0.1W each
2) It is not bule color just the camera does not make it white only!
3) The wiring since I wants to make it easy to use so that I do have a DC6V power port buildin! but if you don't like it we can make a wire output.... :iceslolan

i don't know how much it costs to make one, but $20-25 USD sounds reasonable for a 1:24 sized one.

i meant the glass to make the individual cases for the cars, not the actual display cabinet itself.
