Here in South ca. and recently (assuming this is the cause) drove thru some flooded roads. This morning the engine is emitting this sound like theres metal friction and something is lacking lubricant,(parked and staionary). Truck has 40000 miles, bought new, does my powertrain warranty cover this and could it be that it just need's to dry out.Let me know. Thanks

How deeply flooded were the roads? I'd check in the engine bay and see how high the water came up. While there, see if you can isolate where the noise is coming from, and whether it's coming from above where the water reached, or below.

Sounds like water got in the alternator. To make sure it's an accessory remove the belt, start the engine and see if it still makes the noise. Then rotate the accessories by hand to see if you can hear where it's coming from.
