I know I sound stupid here people, but please hear me out. Maybe you later model lumina drivers are familiar with your hubcaps, correct? They have (or at least mine do) little chevy bow ties in the center of them. I was maybe thinking about painting them, and was wondering what type of paint I should use on there that wont peel off or get waxed off (yeah I wax my hubcaps). I Know I'm obsessed, but what can I say. My 2001 Lumina sedan is white, and I was thinking of maybe painting the bowties glow in the dark white, or maybe red, and then doing a red pinstripe down the side. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

for the hubs i would use the (fairly) new krylon for plastics... just tape off the sections u dont want painted and spray away... and for the pinstripe id just go with a pin stripe decal u can get at any auto parts store...

Make sure you scuff it first, then wipe with alcohol to prepare it. Cleans and preps the plastic so the paint will adhere. Less chipping/flaking./peeling.

Hey Blake, my friend that works at a dealer has a set of the 16" chrome 5 spoke wheels with tires that come stock on the high end Cavaliers. We were gonna test fit them on my '97 Lumina and check for any issues. I was gonna buy them, but just bought new tires for my wheels, and I'm gonna stick with them. Interested? I'll see if they'll work and how much he wants. Did you get new tires too, I remember you had issues with some wheels you bought.

They are number 4 on this pic. You'd probably need to get different tires, these are 205/55/16. Mine has 225/60/16. Those 205's would come up pretty short on a Lumina.

yeah, maybe if the rims fit, make sure they clear the calipers in the front. I may be interested. Any scuffs scratches? I'm sure there is some, but hopefully not a lot. Keep me updated, and if you could maybe take a pic of them on your lumina if its not too much trouble. I did get new tires. I dont remember the exact size I bought though, but I thought they were 205/something/something. I dont know. I'll look and let you know. Yes, I may be interested providing they fit, and clear the calipers. Maybe get a set for the summertime, and stick with hubs durning winter. Thanks for keeping me in mind, you guys are the best. Also, what are the dimentions of these rims? 16" diameter, what about width? Or dont you know? Thanks again

These are new, off an '05. They were "take offs", the customer bought the car new for a kid, and had some aftermarket wheels and tires put on by the dealer before the car ever left the lot. The tires have no miles on them. My buddy bought them from the customer, who didn't want them. Some people have too much money  Oh well. Our gain, their loss. :grinyes:
