99 Dodge Caravan Tps Code Help

99 dodge caravan 3.3 automatic giving code throttle position sensor low input voltage, changed the tps, still gives code, code was erased, comes right back, when changing gears it jumps going into next gear and chugs going up big hills???

try this: If you have access to a voltmeter and a paper clip, locate your TPS and find an orange/blue wire; that's the signal wire. Get the paper clip and backprobe the electrical connector for the TPS. Get your voltmeter positive lead and attach it to the paper clip and the negative lead to a good engine ground. Turn the key on, engine off and rotate the throttle gradually. You should see a voltage sweep of between .5v to 4.5V. If it doesn't do that, and there are hiccups, you have a defective TPS; having a defective TPS will put your tranny in "limp mode" where it won't shift out of 2nd gear.
