First I want to sincerely thank those who responded to my previous thread.
Thank you.
My truck does NOT have cruise control so I'm not sure what to look for concerning the "cruise control linkage".
What is the "Actuator", when pertaining to throttle linkage?
I'm not a professional mechanic so some automotive terminology will need to be explained to me or illustrated.
Some things that you guys have worked with and understand well are new to me.
I wish I could see pictures or decent drawings of a 1987 Chevy truck TBI unit. And maybe even pictures or drawings of the same in a 1991 Caprice so I can compare the setups.
That way I can actually see what the linkages, brackets, hose routings etc. look like.
Do you know where I might find some?
I'm using a Haynes Repair Manual for reference and there's not adequate info for what I'm looking for.
In my earlier post I mentioned a particular hose coming off the front of the TBI that was plugged with a screw. Could this plugged hose be the culprit of the "sticking" throttle?
I made a simple bitmap front view drawing of the TBI showing the hoses.
I don't know if I can attach it to these posts, If not I can email it separately to anyone who might know the routing of the TBI hoses.
Thanks again.

Even without cruise control, there should be 2 cables attached to the TBI. One is the throttle cable the other is the TV Cable (assuming its a 700R4 tranny). Remove both cable and move the TBI by hand.
If it feels sticky, the TBI probably needs a good cleaning. If it feels fine, add the TV cable only and try it again. If it is sticky, you need to look at the cable or tranny. If it still feels fine, probably the throttle cable or throttle pedal itself.
