This is just a little project to get me back in the swing of things. I've had this model for over a year and a half now and it's been painted about 12 diffrent colors so i decided to try this two tone paint job that i've always thought would look good on the R32.
The kit is the Falken racing version but i'm building it for the street. I'm not putting the motor in yet because i'm going to cast it for a few future projects and haven't gotten around to it yet.

I still have to polish the paint and clean up the line alot before i can clear.
Let me know what you think.....honnestly.

I'm not too happy with how the color turned out, and i don't know why. I know that i can clear up the orange peel by going over it with the micromesh and clean up the mistakes in the line the same way. i think it's my choice to use the tamiya true blue instead of mica blue. It might up back in the dip to be repainted, but if it comes to that it will be after i complete this model.
I'm not sure yet what wheels i'll use but it will probally just be a spare set of tamiya wheels.

That paint sceme looks clean! I like how it all flows.
I agree about using Tamiya's True blue than Mica Blue. Mica Blue would have been even better.

very original. I don't think ever I've seen a 2-tone Skyline like that. Looks like a paint scheme for a privateer race team. I like the way the bottom color tucks into the front wheel well...very clean I agree a more metallic blue might have set the silver off a little better.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I'm definately going to respray the car, but my goal is to finish it first. I don't think i've finished one in over a year.
Who knows, maby i'll like it when i finish and won't have to repaint this car anymore.

It's great to have you back dude! I kind of like the color, but it could use a deeper blue. I love the position of your separation, too.
