need tranny fluid specs

Can anyone help? I need specs on a 96 tranny - type : ) and amount...

well, it's not my car... just asking for a friend.

I'm guessing just normal 75 90... prolly about 2 quarts.

turbo or not? auto? manual?

no turbo, manual... but it looks like it's definitely just over 2 qts regular ol' gear oil. He was being given a line from a shop that the tranny had the wrong fluid in it (and we had just changed the fluid - using 75w90 gear oil).

I just needed to confirm that it was bull. : ) I was able to get my hands on a manual, so it's all good now.
