A/C and heating question

I have a '96 A4 2.8L FWD and am having trouble with my A/C and heater (freon and antifreeze not an issue). I would rather not take it to a mechanic again (mechanic never fixed the A/C) if I can fix it myself. Anyone else have this problem? Any replies would be greatly appreciated.
A/C relay? Condenser? Pollen filter? anything? anyone?

i have a problem where i think my heater motor burned out cause it gives a dead sound thatlike its dying and blows little to no air at full bar

my compresor blew i head it was a common issue with the a/c

Also when you say pollen filter do u mean the cabbin air filter?
