These are my most recent purchases. I found them both at my Local Hobby Shop for $27 US each.

The first is Hasegawa's Celica 1600GT "Race Configuration". HLJ has been backordered on this kit so I thought it was a pretty good find.

The second I was unsure about buying. It is the BMW 320i '98 STW winner. I had previously never heard of Dragon brand models and thought why not I'll give it a shot. The only problem I have with it is the body comes pre-painted. I am going to make it a street car however and not a full race car.

I just thought I would share, thanks for loking.

Whats the quality of the pre-painted body like. Any pictures of it?

Quality was alright. The window rubbers were all done but no panel lines and there were mold lines just painted over.

Here are some bad pics of it.

Thanks I will post in the In-progress forum once I get some more done. The wheels are Aoshima Luxy type 4/Hamanns. I have always liked the way they look on Beemers.

Never build a Dragon car kit before but I have built a few of their 1/72 aircraft kits. They used to be called DML I think. Their aircraft kit qualities are on par with Hasegawa or maybe a bit lower but it’s generally very good.

Hmmm, that doesn't look too bad, which is just as well as I just bought one. I don't suppose they give you the decals needed in case you repaint the body yourself? (Mines in the post)

It looks like at least part of the hood image is painted...

Technoman please post where did you order yours from. :)

I got mine off of eBay. Seller was asking a little too much for it but when I won another item off of him and made a lower offer on the model he accepted. I paid $19.00 for it, I don't know of anywhere online to buy them from.

Thanks! :) I tried the Dragon-USA website, but they only list military models even though the main Dragon site does show the car kits. :dunno:
