Hey, guess what guys. Roush racing is making a turbo kit for the the Focus. But, to my and every other SVT owner on this forums dismay, it does not fit our model. Why would Roush, one of the greatest auto racers and enthusiast make a turbo kit that fits every DAMN model of the focus BUT the SVT? Please explain this to me someone!

why would they make a demo 230hp Supercharged ZX2 with a full apperance and handeling package and estimate its total price at 20k then not make it?

Maybe because there's a hell of a lot more non SVTs running around then SVTs, so it's more profitable to make a non-SVT first. I'm sure, given time, a SVT turbo kit will appear from them.

I agree. Im sure theyll release one for the svt. Just give it time. Roush is exclusive just like SVT, so im sure they just wanted to get the kit that would make the most money out on the market first.

First, it's not Roush's kit. It's actually the F-Max kit. They purchased it from them and you should expect all the same issues. The turbo it mounted above the exhaust manifold.... Paint peeling hoods for all!! :thinkerg: WOOT!

I didn't know that. I heard the F-Max kit was good, in fact it was installed on SCC's project rally focus in one of their articles.

well i was looking at a jackson racing supercharger, but i think i might have to save my money for this instead. i've been won over to the turbo side of things after reading and talking to a lot of people about both.

honestly, theres more sc's out there for the focus then turbos. and the sc's are mostly CARB exempt and smog legal. Like Vortech's and Jackson's. Turbos give more power in mid and high end range while sc's give low and mid power range. Plus, turbos have the awesome bypass valve or whats referred to as "blow off" valve. The only turbo right now that I would install on mine is from Precision, but it has an oil pump to return the oil to the pan because gravity (which most kits use) wont help due to how the line is positioned.
