I have a chance to get a hold of a 1995 Trooper with 100K; doesn't have any service records coming with it. Definitely going to have a carfax report ran on it; and take it to my mechanic for an inspection.

But as an overall, what is the general feeling of the 95 yr with the 3.2L engine? And what size is that engine, exactly? The SOHC or DOHC?

Any problems with the Automatic tranny?

Anything you can add will be helpful; thanks!

Never mind. Carfax report states that it was bought from an auction two different times, and it had failed emissions three times in 8 years. Once at only 53K miles, then again at 57K miles - looks like a 3 week interval of trying to get it to pass. And then it failed again at 75K miles.

I'm not interested in putting LOTS of money into a vehicle with only 100K - sounds like this one has problems and has had problems from the get go. Either that, or it was never taken care of - which I wouldn't doubt.

I'm personally sitting at 135K on my own Isuzu, original everything, and it has never once failed emissions.
