brake lights coming on

i own a 92 wrangler 4 cylinder 5 speed.
everytime i start moving after stopping, my brake lights go out breifly then come back on. people are always waving me down to tell me this. it seams that when i accerlerate the brake lights go out and then come back on when i get up to cruising speed (ex. 30 mph)?

any ideas what could be the cause?

Sounds like a switch adjustment is needed. Look up under the dash by the brake pedal lever. Move the switch as close to the lever as you can.

Could be the pedal is not being returned firmly enough by the return spring too.
