Replacing clutch on '96 cav. How difficult?

My clutch isn't dead yet, but over the past few months I have started to feel some signs of wear and tear, and I forsee it going out in the next year or so. I consider myself a pretty good amature mechanic, although most of my experience is in working with VW's. I have rebuilt engines, done engine swaps, tranny swaps, clutchs, etc of lots of VW's. So basically I know how to turn a wrench, but I'm no expert.

Right now I just want to know what the level of difficulty is in replacing a clutch on a '96 cavalier. I'd like to try doing it myself when it is time, but if it is considered a difficult job or if I needed some real specialty tools, then I might just go to a shop. Suggestions? Anyone done a clutch in a cavalier before? Thanks,

-Nick

I have tried, and it ain't easy...you will need metric and standard tools, a haynes manual or chilton, and preferably a lift.
