I was just wondering if anyone has had an oppurtunity drive a car with one of these? How well does it respond? How much fun are they? I just paid 150 bones for one these bad boys. It's going in my "84 Bird and I just wanted to make sure the shifter fits the persona of my car.

i have one of these shifters in both my 86 and 79 t/a they are a great shifter and reliable my 86 the braket was in the box but my 79 the braket in the box worked but i had to use a stock cable because it would not adjust. have fun with it and be careful they put more stress on the tranny when you rachet. look at a shift kit and maybe depending on street or strip a new valve body that will allow harder shifts faster and manual and or automatic shifting
