changing the torque convertor

When you change the torque convertor on a TH350 does it click into place once or twice?

It may click when twisting it into place or seating it, why?

It depends on if its a lockup or non-lockup TH350.

If you cant get it to go down all the way you might have a 350 lockup trans and trying to install a non-lockup design torque converter to it.

you will have three solid "clicks before it is correctly installed. it can be a pain in the ass though so don't get fustrated with it.

Once its installed and the transmission is back on you should be able to spin the converter independently from the flywheel with the flywheel to converter bolts removed.If you cant do that then you have a situation on your hands.
