I just picked up my LS being no one replied to my original post about what I should look for that the LS's are well known for having issues with, well, here's the specs:
2000
V8, all options-except for autostick, 74k, Silver on black, 10k on tranny,
$9500-clean title, near mint body, runs out nice. Just have to get one of the valve cover gaskets done-leaking down. Other than that, quite impressive for a 4000lb automatic so far-chicks dig it, as we all know.
Only other issues are the Driver's heated seat doesn't work and one rear window is off track.
So my question is: What breaks on the heaters typically? I want to get this car right. I already have a '98 Contour SVT sitting at home and a '97 Explorer Eddie Bauer V8, so I got my share of Fords already. I just missed a '01? Lightning for around the same money, wholesaled, but bought this car hours before learning about the lightning.

The seats in the early cars usually failed from fatigue. The coil wire inside the seat snaps. To fix, you have to pull the cover and foam...
