Anyone have any tips on replacing the power steering pump? I have all data and have general idea but any tips or shortcuts would be greatly appreciated!! I'm new to the board. Wow this car has been one problem after another! I'm in the middle of replacing the valve cover gaskets now.

well welcome to the club. After these repairs you have seen just about the most of any problems one could expect. Sorry to hear of your repair woes though.
Try www.flatratetech.com post under the ford forum. Those guys there are mostly ford certified techs and master techs so if any one could tell you about how to it is them.
I do not know of any one on board here that has done a PS pump. Why are you rplacing yours? Curious about symptoms that lead to the diagnosis that it needs to be done.

Regarding the power steering pump. I heard some noise which sounded like a pulley rattling and when I checked I could see the pulley on the PS pump wobbling pretty severely. I want to take care of it before I'm stranded somewhere.

yeah no doubt. Preventative maintenance beats having it done after a failure for sure. Do you know what might have casued the damage/failure of the pump?

It turns out it is not the power steering pump after all. It is the fan pump. It is an hydraulic pump that turns the engine fan. I had never heard of that before. It sits directly above the generator.
