Autometer Monster Tach

Okay, has anyone installed one of these on a P11? Hell if we can't get it to work right and no one knows what the bug is. Using the wiring diagram from the factory to the ECU it will work till you hit 5K rpm then it dive bombs till you go below 5K again. Suggestions, comments, concerns or complaints?
