under the hood would be leaky line somewhere...i dont know about the vents, the only smell ive ever had from the vents is antifreeze in my bmw

You know, I have the same issue w/ my '71 Buick Electra. Occasionaly I'll smell fuel in cabin, not exhaust by gas.

just got that from the search... id ask the dealer whats up. where are you located? cuz actually, i get a wierd smell as well, not like gas, but a different smell. prolly just some dust or something

Check your fuel line from filter to engine for cracks in the rubber (by now you probably have) People forget to r/r hoses,both vacuum and fuel every 2yrs,guess what? whenever you do a tune up or every 2 yrs you should always check all rubber lines as heat and age tendsa to dry out rubber and you can guess what happens next. I have aquired many veery good cars simply b/c people develop a problem that is actually small (usually about .10 cents worth) and thinking they have a bad engine.so they ditch a perfectly good car and waist thousands on another b/c of a .10 cent piece of hose.
