I have the V6 and looking to trade mine in for the V8 for more towing capability. If you are not going to tow anything, get the V6 otherwise the V8. As for options, I have the Sport Edition and NONE are absolutely necessary. This is why they are options. I have a sunroof and love it, others hate them. All depends what you want on the car.

V6 has the option of 2WD, V8 doesn't.

That the thing I hate the most about new cars. You can only get the V8 if you also get several thousand dollars worth of add-ons. For example you can't get a Dodge Magnum Hemi without $10,000 worth of leather seats and junk.

?? I thought you can get a 2WD V8. I'm looking at the brochure right now?

V8 is full time 4WD
V6 is on-demand 4WD
unless they've changed something from the last time I looked.
You are right in that there are 2WD versions with both engines. I was talking about 4WD models and their ability to run in 2WD mode.
