Help! my check eng. light has been on for about 1 year but ran fine. Today I stop at a light about 1 mile from my house and start to accelerate, it bogg's down oil and battery lights come on and it stalls out, I restart all is fine, I get the car back home it starts to do it all over again. Oil light comes on in drive & reverse. Any help please

The very first thing you should do is have someone pull the codes from the CEL. If you've ran the car for a year with a check engine light on, you may have very well made worse any problems you had.

The oil light would indicate a pressure problem. Is the oil overfilled? Underfilled? Are you running the proper weight oil?

Oil levels were good I get the oil changed every 3000 mi. and I'm using 10w30. I had the codes run when the check engine light first came on and I was told it was the lower oxygen sensor.

Is it possible that when the oil gets to thin or old it will cause the oil light to come on?
