drivers door & trunk won't unlock with remote

All of a sudden the drivers side door and the trunk will no longer unluck with my GM factory remote. The switch inside will not unlock the drivers side door either so I thought it might be the actuator that drapped out as the same thing happend on my blazer last year.. but now the fact that the trunk stopped working at the same time makes me wonder.

Anyone experienced this before...

Could very well be. I was going to say dead battery at first in the remote but then you added inside as well.

no cause the passenger side locks and unlocks fine and the lights still flash so the car is getting the signal from the remote.

Right. The solinoid has probably crapped out on you. Remove the door pannel and the plastic weather guard. Get the new part and have fun with the tight location.

can anyone explain why the trunk stopped working as well though?
