525i performance

I have a '95 525i 5 sp. This is a fun car but I would like more power. I have installed a Jim c. chip and it did wonders. I have a short shift I have yet to install. What other affordable upgrades are there. I've seen stuff like cams and engine swaps. for that kinda money I will install a blower. I don't have that kinda money. Are there any m3 cast off parts racers swap out that can go on this m50. I understand that the 3.2 m3 motor was based on the m50. I realise I bought a dog performance wise, It is a bullet proof dog I got a good deal on. I just always want more power!
