Hello All,
A few weeks ago I posted on a problem relating to a loss in power without the engine cutting out and that the ignition light came on in my Focus 1.8TDI. Well, you'll all be glad to know that I went to a dealership here in North East England and on the second attempt, the diagnostics showed up the problem. It was a problem relating to a sensor from the accelerator. This cut all power to the engine and the sensor kicked into fail safe mode.
Special thanks to all contributors to my post and it played a large part in keeping my morale up. I'm not joking, would have scrapped it if they hadn't found the problem it was annoying me that much.

I just noticed this post, but thanks for updating us! Good to hear that you didn't leave the Focus, as it really is a good car all around.
